Every good we purchase commercially has a carbon footprint--a certain amount of carbon dioxide and other carbon compounds emitted in order to make and transport the good. Locally produced goods may have a smaller footprint, where as goods produced in and transported from other places in the world are likely to have a higher footprints. |
